Who Runs the Pack?

The Pack is run by unpaid volunteers and consists of three areas:

The Pack Committee:  consists of the Committee Chairman, Cubmaster, Assistant Cubmasters, Secretary and the Treasurer.  They meet on a monthly basis (more if needed) to develop budgets, approve expenses, arrange facilities for special events and conduct overall planning for the year.

The Leaders:  consists of Den Leaders and Assistant Den Leaders who are most directly involved with the Cub Scouts.  Den Leaders meet on a monthly basis, usually in conjunction with the Pack Committee Meeting, to discuss issues of common concern.

Adult Volunteers:  One adult member of each Cub Scout family (not including Tiger Cubs) is expected to participate in a volunteer position or serve on a committee.  Some of these jobs include Den Leader Coach, Tiger Cub Den Leader, Pinewood Derby, Blue and Gold Banquet, Parade Coordinator, Scouting for Food, and other events held for the Pack.

When and Where are Meetings Held?

There are two types of meetings:  Pack Meetings and Den Meetings.  Pack 420 holds monthly Pack Meetings on the third Monday of the month at St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Leonardtown, Maryland. Meetings start promptly at 7:00 PM and all are welcome. Dens generally meet on a weekly or bi-weekly basis.  They can be held at the church or may be held at the Den Leader’s home.
